If a student needs content support for any concept or topic within a unit in any given subject, we provide it. But the majority of content-tutoring is not about rehashing facts and details—it’s the analytical application of the information, synthesizing information with perspective to form a thorough, complex, thesis-based argument. Understanding over memorizing streamlines data-recall, and it provides students with a foundation to tackle any question-type, regardless of the level of difficulty within a class or individual assessment.

​For athletes, practices mimic game scenarios. For actors, rehearsals mimic performances. Accordingly, studying should mimic test formats. Tutoring sessions through multiple choice questions that explain why right answers are right and through writing that shows how content vocabulary connects to themes directly correlates to exams. We build understanding over memorization during these dress rehearsals.
